We compare...

Both the Dainese Dyno D1 and the Dainese Dyno Pro D1 are short cane boots derived from the Dainese Nexus and Dainese Torque. They are sporty boots and combine enough comfort with protection for being used daily.

The Dainese Dyno D1 are a short cane boots, made with a wear resistant textile, combined with cow-hide leather inserts and microfiber as reinforcement on the sides and the instep. On the other hand, the Dainese Dyno Pro D1 feature cow-hide leather and microfiber, a material which offers flexibility and wear resistance. This kind of microfiber is also used on the sportive Axial Pro.

The structure of the Dyno D1 is very similar to the Dainese Nexus, but with a short cane; in the case of the Dyno Pro D1, it is similar to the Dainese Torque, with the same detail of the short cane. On their inside, we find the same material on both boots, filled with foam that gives the same protection than other versions but with less volumetric space. The foam is placed inside a reinforced and microperforated nylon, a material that offers breathability.

We find more differences between these two boots on protection. The Dainese Dyno D1 features cow-hide reinforcements on its sides and reinforcement foam on the external and internal ankle. On the heel there is a big TPU protector, the same material used on the instep and the front slider (removable).

Also, the ankle is protected by a big TPU reinforcement. We also find the same material on the instep. Finally, the slider (removable) is made with magnesium.

Dainese includes an Allen key to replace the sliders on both boots. We have to highlight that the boots feature air inlets on the heel’s TPU protector, according to offer enough ventilation to the foot.

Closures and other details

The structure on both boots does not allow to include external closures or zippers. The outer tab is flexible and on it inside we find laces, thanks to the Speed Lacing System, we can adjust the boots easily and fast. So we do not have any lace outside the boot and we can put the boot on and off quickly.

The Dyno D1 are protective and versatile boots, that offer a combined use specially on urban areas and suburbs. They also give a good protection to those motorbike passengers who are looking for a better comfort when riding. And for those who are looking for a more protective boot but with a short cane, the Dainese Dyno Pro D1 offers ergonomy and protection.
