We analyze...

The Airoh Aviator 2.2 is the latest evolution of the most advanced off-road helmet of the Italian brand used in racing by riders like Antonio Cairoli, Marvin Musquin in MX or Tady Blazusiak in Enduro. Your letter is lighter, better visibility and better ventilation.

The shell is 100% carbon kevlar fiber made, combining lightness and protection. Its compact design is also one of the reasons for the lightness of this helmet, which weights only 950 grams, about 30 grams less than the Aviator 2.1. The weight saving has been achieved thanks to the redesign of the shell lines: now the rear spoiler is integrated and has a less massive chinguard, offering more structural rigidity.
This means a wider field of view for us, which positively affects on driving.

The new design of the chinguard comes with two big air intakes at both sides and a main front entrance, which featueres a dust filter inside. The filter can be changed or cleaned through a removable inner grid.
In the rest of the shell, the Aviator has two frontal entries front under the visor, plus multiple small holes just above the helmet viewing zone. At the top of the shell are two air intakes, with metal grills, offering complete ventilation to the shell. These metal grilles are fixed to the helmet by screws. The brand provides spare parts of these screws and closures for days of intense rain or mud, and a specific key to assemble and disassemble these accessories. The vents are integrated into the rear spoiler. Overall, this Airoh helmet fesatures an extreme ventilation, a big advantage when racing in off-road.
The advanced ventilation system offers a constant and wide airflow to the inner of the helmet.
The Aviator’s visor has an aggressive look thanks to its aerodynamic shape and two large openings that facilitate airflow, seeking a more aerodynamic helmet. The visor is secured by three bolts of transparent plastic (replacement bolts come with the helmet). The brand includes an accessory with its installation that extends the length of the hood.
The helmet’s visor can be adjusted fast and easily and quickly thanks to the three bolts.
The inner padding -completely removable and washable- is made with microfiber 2Dry fabric which incorporates antibacterial treatment of the renowed Sanitized brand. This 2Dry fabric, while providing a comfortable touch, evacuates sweat thanks to its rapid drying, which prevents the formation of moisture in the inner foam.
The padding is fully perforated in all areas, perfect to ride at the highest level in any track or path. The distribution of the padding is very complete, presenting holes in the upper zone for an optimized ventilation inside the EPS.
Finally, mention that the Airoh incorporates an emergency removing system, called AEFR, allowing safe removal of lateral padding.

Fasteners and details
The Aviator 2.2 features a double bluckler fastener. Other accessories that come standard with the helmet is a support for fixing a GoPro camera. It is specially designed to fit with the shell’s rounding pattenr, a detail which shows that in everything has been taken into account at the time of the helmet design.
In short, the Airoh Aviator 2.2 is a fiber helmet that offers optimal ventilation and lightness, plus many other details that make this helmet a favorite for many off-road professionals.
