Reviews and tests 16 January, 2019

We analyze...

You already know that in Motocard when we have a product fresh from the oven, there we are to bring it exclusively. And this is what we have done with this new Schuberth C4 Pro, a modular helmet that was already very successful in its day and is now renewed with this new Pro version. We tell you all the details!

Shell of the new C4 Pro

The materials chosen for the shell of the Schuberth C4 Pro don’t change compared with the previous generation. We have fiberglass and special fibers through the Direct Fiber Processing method, specific to Schuberth which, in order not to wind us up, we will say that it makes the helmet a very light product, with great resistance and providing maximum stability.

For its part, the EPS is made by a multi-sectional structure, which provides an excellent absorption of the impacts offering a great degree of security.

Schuberth C4 ProFiberglass is the main material used in the shell.

Two elements that perfectly describe how Schuberth helmets are the chin strap opening system, which remains the same, easy, fast and safe, and multi-channel ventilation, with an air inlets on/off that are very practical, easily operable with gloves on. Simplicity, very well made designs and first quality materials.

If you want to know the main improvements of the Schuberth C4 Pro with respect to its predecessor, read on.

Schuberth C4 Pro improvements

The main improvements with respect to the previous version are found in the acoustic aspect and inside. Why do we say these?

The C4 is now quieter and has paddings that still offer more comfort. So, we have a quieter and more comfortable helmet. To give you an idea, according to Schuberth the C4 Pro reaches approximately 85 dB(A) at 100 km/h on a naked motorcycle, a fairly moderate figure considering the type of helmet it is. By the way, the weight of the helmet is around 1690 grams for a M size.

Schuberth C4 ProThe C4 Pro has the P/J approval, that is, it can be carried with the chin guard open and closed.

As we say, the padding is one of the strengths of this new C4 Pro. It is very comfortable. The key? Well, they are made with a very comfortable fabric that Schuberth calls Coolmax, an antibacterial and fast drying material. They have no seams on the upper part, the nape area has been optimized and the sides are prepared for the inclusion of glasses for those users who need them. The inner lining has Öko-Tex 100 certification, that is, that meets the required safety requirements. And almost no need to say it, but logically, the padding is removable and washable.

More features of the Schuberth C4 Pro

Regarding the screen, it offers a wide field of vision, even adopting a more sporty position on the bike. It has anti-fog treatment and also includes a Pinlock 120 sheet.

As a good touring helmet, it also does not lack the sun visor and of course the new SC2 communication system with Schuberth Plug & Play integration, although it is sold separately. Finally, know that the closure is of the micrometric type.

This is the new Schuberth C4 Pro helmet. In short, it is a helmet more silent and comfortable, perfect if you are a touring lover and also of a somewhat sportier driving.

Schuberth C4 ProThe new C4 Pro from Schuberth has it all to succeed on the market.

Remember that in Motocard we have it available in different graphics and we also have the Carbon C4 Pro version.
