The Shoei J.O is a premium jet helmet that combines a vintage look with latest generation materials. With a beautiful design inspired by American helmets of the '60s, it's ideal for owners of cafe-racer, scramblers or classic bikes, but also for anyone looking for an exclusive looking and quality jet helmet.
The outer shell of the J.O is made of AIM (Advanced Integrated Matrix), a material with up to five types of multiorganic fiber that offers different characteristics of resistance and shock absorption for optimal stiffness. This fiber is the same used in Shoei’s premium helmets such as the sporty NXR or the touring GT-Air. Shoei offer three different shell sizes.

The inner EPS is a double density design that keeps the same thickness both on the front, which houses the integrated sun visor, that in the rear, thus maintaining the same level of security in all areas (in other helmets that dons’t happen, and integrated visor reduces the thickness of EPS). The weight of the entire helmet is just 1kg.
Shoei has equipped the J.O with a screen called CJ-3 Visor. It’s a design created especially for this helmet with rounded edges to avoid contact with our face and for greater safety in case of impact, as well as two handles (left and right) to lower the screen.

There are two locks on the visors sides, which are adjustable in three positions, so that we can regulate the lenght of the screen to best suit our face. The CJ-3 Visor is available in three colors: clear, smoke and yellow.
For those looking for an even more classic look, with J-O we can also use glasses with tape, since the helmet has rear handle with push button to move the tape glasses.

The inner padding is made of polyurethane and is completely removable by push buttons and washable. On the sides of the padding, there’s leather and nobuck, the latter is treated leather much like suede. All this leather coating on areas where the padding is exposed to outter elements not only add a sophisticated touch to the helmet, but also protect the padding from wear.

Fastener and details
The J-O’s fastener is a double D buckle system, the most secure of all. The entire helmet has a crown of rubber to protect it from day to day use and improve the joint between the shell and the padding.

The J.O is Shoei’s answer for a new sub-segment in helmet’s market, the vintage jet, and is in line with other models like the X-201 Ultra Carbon from X-Lite, where in addition to vintage aesthetic quality is offered premium.
