About 30 years ago, Macna experimented with gloves and found a new (and more cost-effective) production method for waterproofing them. These gloves were a success and in a short time, Macna launched the first jacket on the market. It was nothing like the Macna jackets of today, but even then it was already very good value for money. Macna has never strayed from that approach. Since then, it has launched a number of technical innovations: the Sandwich System, the Vision Vest, the Summer Comfort System, Twin Shell and Night Eye, among others. And as the brand grows globally, Macna will continue to do so!
Innovative, minimalist, experimental and peculiar at times. These are just a few terms used to describe the Dutch design aesthetic. At the same time, the same could be said about its design basis. Functionality, ease of use and safety are the basis of the Macna brand philosophy.
In the R&D department, the design team works like a well-oiled machine, creating new ways to enhance rider experiences by combining fashion with technology. Rumor has it that Macna's designers don't even have office chairs, supposedly doing their work from the seat of their motorcycles. In the design process, computers are shut down and engines are started for testing directly on the road. Macna permanently leads to new ideas and improvements.
